RustyChicks are everyday women facing everyday issues.  We're wives, mothers and working women who've been busy with husbands, raising children and tending to homes so we're a bit rusty when it comes to doing something for ourselves. Remember when 'time out' used to mean punishment?  For us it means survival!  Now we are ready to spend time doing something inspirational and positive for ourselves and those who relate to us.

Perhaps we don't have our youthful figures anymore and so we wouldn't get whistles at construction sites (unless we arrived with a sandwich cart or baked goods).  We could stop traffic though, but then we'd likely catch cold from lying out on the damp asphalt.   Most importantly we've learned to accept who we are, what we look like and we're happy to laugh and share stories about it all.

Of course we're talking about the middle years!  So we've gone from hot pants to hot flashes; from seeing everything clearly to taking reading glasses shopping; from being cranky once a month to being cranky whenever we damn well want--oh, such unpredictable times!  We've been slapped upside the head by our changing bodies, surprised by the colours of our mood rings and watched our wardrobe sizes go up and down more than the NASDAQ.  And all the while, our family dynamics bounce wildly about from elderly parents to our children growing into young adults.  From dealing with estate lawyers to coping with tongue rings and tattoos.  From worrying about a mortgage to fretting over pension plans.  We've been there, done that and lived long enough to become a story, but not long enough to close the book.

Join us while we explore life from the middle.  Along with some well earned humor you will find some great information too!  Each of our newsletters will give you new insight from the latest health kicks to managing a will or dealing with spiritual roadblocks.  You're invited to join us, share your own stories, ideas and thoughts - these are the things that make all our lives a bit richer.
